This week in Meru County, representatives from various ministries and departments are gathering for a workshop focused on applying the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus to promote ecosystem-based adaptation in the Ewaso Ng'iro North Catchment, Kenya. Using the LEAP (Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning) and WEAP (Water Evaluation and Planning) tools, participants will develop integrated solutions to address water, energy, and food security challenges. The goal is to establish a comprehensive work plan for the Kenya LEAP analysis and ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders. Stay tuned for updates as we work towards a sustainable future for the region.
